ME

I was born and raised in New York and moved to New Jersey at the age of twelve. Since I was young, technology and business have become my passion. I quickly developed a fixation to learn more about technology; most of the knowledge I have acquired, is from the internet. Whenever I there was something I did not know, I do research to find the answer. For the most part of my life my role model has been my uncle. He has always inspired me to do better, and because of him I strive to do my best. He started his own company after 9/11 in the basement of his home. Now, after four years, his company is located in a building at Lakehurst, New Jersey, and is ranked number seven in the top 50 fastest growing logistic companies. I have experience working for his business designing web pages and assisting with clerical work. I began to educate myself with graphic design, first editing images in microsoft paint and quickly moving to adobe photoshop designing ads and banners. Graphic design became my new passion, and I continue to use this skill to my advantage with anything and everything I do. I used graphic design with powerpoint, webpages, flyers for school, etc.

Towards the end of my senior year, I made my decision to attend Rider University. I choose marketing as my major because I wanted to incorporate graphic design with business, and I felt this major would fulfill that. In the future I wish to become a even more sucessful individual, and hopefully work for a good business. Through the time I have spent in college, I learned that the only way to succeed and finish your work on time is determination.

Gangs Vs. Greeks

This advertisement I designed was used for a program on campus. Gangs vs. Greek was a program used to inform people the differences between Gangs and Greeks. Many people have there own views and thoughts about the differences and similarities between both. For the program we had many speakers who informed us about both there experiences and experiences from others. In the end it turned out to be a successful event.

Ads

These advertisements I designed using Adobe Photoshop CS2. The first I thought of on my own, I wanted to create a newer looking advertisement for classic Nike sneakers. At the same time I wanted to incorporate an individuals personal taste, which is why I used the quote "We've got your size, or Color". The reflection of the sneakers on the bottom I felt was necessary because many advertisements today use a reflection to make the image look clean.

My second advertisement posted, is one I thought of for Logical Solution Services, a freight forwarding company. Looking through magazines I found the idea for a platter, and I decided to change up the original advertisement, by adding modes of transportation for shipping on top. This turned out to be a great idea because it most importantly it stood out from the others. No one would expect to see this advertisement in a shipping magazine because of the hand holding the platter.

My Barnum advertisement was designed for a play in my high school. Barnum was a play about a circus, and I was asked to design an advertisement for this play. I had to somehow incorporate a circus theme with the ad. My favorite part about this advertisement is how the elephant seems to be holding up the letters, as in the circus. The letters also give the illusion as if they are holding up one another, which is also my favorite part of this advertisement.

What is Marketing?

What Is Marketing? The definition of Marketing is refering to the promotion of products, advertising, pricing, distribution channels, and branding. Marketing is close to advertising and sales. However, people continue to maintain that marketing is separate. In the economy there are two types of things sold, services and goods. Services are anything sold that cannot be physically touched, such as insurance. Goods are anything sold that can be physically touched, such as oranges. Marketing is mainly concerned with anticipating the consumers future needs for your product, this is known as market research. Marketing is divided for actions in a company, it is divided into 4 ways, product, pricing, promotion and placement. Now with technology, marketing has become more wide spread through the internet.
